"The perfect place where I had the chance to stay for a few weeks for my profession. A very quiet place punctuated by the song of birds in the grounds of the house and shops a 2 minute walk away. “We were so lucky to come across La Montgrande, it was outside our proposed North to South route but so worth the detour! The gite is gorgeous, beautifully designed/decorated, top hotel quality bedding and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay including shops/bars/restaurants in the lovely village which is a leisurely 5 minute walk away. We had planned to do lots of day trips but it was so relaxing at La Mongrande we just chilled in the garden. The best thing about our stay were our fabulous hosts Jan and Graham, they were the perfect combination of friendly and professional, we will definitely stay again sometime soon.” - Briony via Google Reviews.

“Really enjoyed my stay at La Montgrande. The use of beautiful materials create an authentic vibe while details like the quality of towels and bed linen give a luxurious feeling. The property is secluded and private, even though very close to the charming village square. Definitely the best thing are the hosts though. “Beautiful Gite in a perfect location, just a very short walk into Aulnay, where there are 3 bars / restaurants in the square and one on the edge of the town. There is a supermarket 1 kilometre away, which is excellent if you prefer to self cater whilst staying in the Gite. The accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed, the bedding was really luxurious too. Jan and Graham (& Luna the pooch) made us extremely welcome during our stay and we will definitely keep in touch. “What a wonderful warm welcome from before we commenced our trip. Great communication from our wonderful hosts who were very accommodating. The gîte itself is quaint and beautiful. Location is perfect for exploring and the town is ideal for a wander and a coffee along with a few shops and the market was lovely.

“Great cottage, really spotless, qualitative and very well done. It feels like Jan and Graham thought of the smallest details so that everything is perfect, practical and classy. A 5/5 rating without hesitation for this cottage that has just opened, I recommend it for families with infants (an adorable children's room and an enclosed and totally secure outdoor grounds).
For having made several cottages with family in the last 5 years, the one is one of the most charming, with hosts who take care of us (booking a restaurant in the last minute for us, advice on the surroundings, equipment in the impeccable cottage with even children's games, everything you need to cook… a gas barbecue ready to use!). We’ve Had A Fantastic Stay

“We’ve had a fantastic stay at La Montgrande! The gite was absolutely beautiful and is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Graham and Jan really thought of everything, it was well equipped with everything and really lovely quality. They were so friendly and welcoming and on hand for any questions or recommendations. They have done an excellent job (and are continuing to do so!)
The gite was perfect for us just being a couple of minutes walk from the village centre, we were able to walk in to buy bread and croissants or a drink or a meal plus the weekly markets were full of delicious treats! Our dog enjoyed running around the garden with the two resident dogs, they really have so much space to explore.
We visited many lovely villages, towns and some of the bigger cities this area offers and La Montgrande was perfectly placed. A perfect stay and we hope to return one day!” - Colette via Google Reviews.

“Gorgeous gite, set in beautiful gated grounds. Fully equipped kitchen, everything you could think of. Spotless and modern interior. Comfortable bedrooms, modern bathroom and great shower. Within easy walking distance to village with bars and shops. Location is also close to some lovely places to drive to.
