TERMS & CONDITIONS
Safety
For your own personal safety and that of other guests, we have provided smoke detectors. Smoke detectors are now a legal requirement in France and we strongly advise guests not to tamper, remove the battery or deactivate them. This could invalidate our insurance in the event of a fire. In the event of a fire, please evacuate all members from the house immediately and as safely as possible.
Smoking – in line with current French regulations and also for the comfort of future guests, smoking is not permitted inside the house. This includes smoking next to an open window as the smoke can blow back into the room. Failure to adhere to this will result in the forfeit of the damage deposit, to pay for additional cleaning.
Usage - Electricity & Water
We would of course like to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible, please do your bit to help.
Also as you are fully aware, household bills are getting more and more expensive. We do not want to have to put up our letting costs, so therefore please use water and electricity considerately.
Behaviour
Please be aware because we live in a village there are neighbours to consider. We therefore request that you keep noise to a considerate level, especially later at night, as some of our neighbours have work in the morning!
Travel Insurance
This is strongly advised to cover you in the event of you having to cancel. Please see our cancellation policies above.
Non Payment
We will send you a reminder when your final balance is due. Non payment of this by the due date will mean our contract is no longer valid, and your booking will be cancelled.
Persons
The contract is established for a specific number of persons. If the number of guests exceeds this number, we may refuse to accept the additional guests.
However if able and not exceeding our permitted numbers, there will be extra charges to be paid up front of 10€ per person per night for unannounced additional guests.
If the maximum numbers for the property are to be exceeded, we will also have no choice but to refuse the additional guests.
The maximum number includes children, and for this property is 4.
Check In / Check Out
The period of rental commences at 4pm on the day of arrival (acceptable hours of arrival are 4-9pm), and ends at 10am on the day of departure. Alterations to arrival and departure times are by prior arrangement only.
Cancellation
Stays which are cancelled in excess of 60 days of arrival will be reimbursed 100% of balance paid to date.
Stays cancelled within 45 and 60 days of arrival will be reimbursed 50% of balance paid to date (or 100% if we are able to re book the dates).
Stays cancelled within 30 days will not be reimbursed unless we are able to rebook the dates
We cannot be responsible for delays or cancellations due to issues relating to matters outside of our control such as travel, illness etc.
We therefore advise you to have travel insurance to cover such eventualities.
In the very unlikely event we have to cancel your booking, you will be reimbursed in full for the amount you have paid to that date. We will also support you with finding alternative accommodation.
Pool
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS FOR POOL USE.
Any bleaching to our bath towels will cause replacement costs to be taken from your security deposit. (we do have towels for a small rental fee if required, 5€ for 2, do please let us know if you would prefer this option).
The pool is not heated, but because it is not very deep, it warms up a little in the hot sun, and is lovely to cool down in.
Please shower before using the pool, as sun cream will cause the pool to go cloudy and may take several days (and expense) to rectify, thank you.
Please note that glassware (including beer bottles) and dishes are not allowed near the pool area. If the pool liner gets damaged due to glass (or pets) a new liner costs 150€ (plus refilling costs) so your security deposit will be retained to help cover this cost.
Absolutely no dogs in the pool please.

Cleaning
Please leave the property as you would hope to find it. If the property requires extra cleaning on your departure for any reason, this will be deducted from your security deposit.
Security Deposit
A damage deposit of £150 / 175€ is to be paid along with the balance of the rental cost 6 weeks prior to arrival. The deposit is to cover the cost of any damage or breakages to or at the property, or any additional cleaning or missing items. This will be returned after your stay within 10 days unless required.
The property will be inspected after your departure and we will notify you of any damage, breakages or missing items noted other than those already reported to us. We reserve the right to hold the damage deposit for longer than 10 days if there is a dispute over damage, or we are awaiting bills / proof of damage.
Pets
We only accept dogs that have been discussed / agreed on booking.
Strictly no cats (or other animals), as our dogs are not cat friendly.
Visitors
The gite and gardens are for your use, however we are not covered for other persons on the property.
The pool is purely for gite guests only.

If the maximum numbers for the property are to be exceeded, we will also have no choice but to refuse the additional guests.
The B&B room currently accommodates 2 people plus a baby using a cot only.

Stays cancelled within 14 days will not be reimbursed unless we are able to rebook the dates

Pool
The plunge pool is purely for gite guests only, and must not be used by B&B guests.
Cleaning
Please leave the room as you would hope to find it. We have provided you with a clean and beautifully renovated room, please treat it with respect, and do let us know about any damage / issues so that we can sort them as quickly as possible, both for you and for future guests.
Pets
We do not accept any pets in the B&B room.
Visitors
The gardens are for your use, however we are not covered for other persons on the property.
